Ssumier S Pasricha – Laughter is the most important ingredient to spice up the dish of life.
“LAUGHTER is the most important ingredient to spice up the dish of LIFE.
Ssumier S Pasricha aka Pammi Aunty is the best server for this ingredient. He is mainly famous for his viral videos portraying a typical Delhi Punjabi woman, who cries and complaints about everything over the phone.
At the age of 10, he knew he wanted to be an actor and joined a local theatre group. He even has 5 years of training in Indian Classical Dance and 13 years of training in Indian Classical Dance. He pursued his higher education from Australia, where he even worked as an RJ at a local radio station. Ssumier S Pasricha admits he has a keen interest in astrology, and studied it but never intended to have that as his profession.
He then went to Bollywood and admits that the worst part of this industry is facing rejection. First day, he gets the role, and the other day, a call saying someone else will replace him. He had to struggle a lot. He has done several movies, TV soaps and Ads till now. He finds Indian Society the extremely tolerating one, humble and hypocritical at the same time. He says what we preach, we don’t follow. And what rules we impose on others, don’t implement ourselves. He refers the fictional character Pammi Aunty being the best example of this.
He got inspired from all the ladies around him, whom he saw while growing up. Those ladies helped him to create the amazing character of Pammi Aunty.
He was honoured at the House of Commons, London for his splendid contribution to the British Society, British Indians relations and culture. He says that was the moment he would say a dream come true one. He still can’t believe that it happened.
He follows three mantras in his life to go through anything and would like to convey the same to the youth.
“ KEEP TRYING. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, even when others don’t. Have PATIENCE and FAITH.”
